2017 06 30 085433From the end of May to the beginning of June 2017, Recard was involved in two new startups outside national boundaries.

As scheduled, the Easy Crescent plant for Meghna Group of Industries was started up in Bangladesh on May 20th. PM1 (sheet width 2850 mm, production capacity 50 ton/ day, speed 1200 m/min) produced its first reel of high quality paper immediately upon startup, which took place smoothly and with no interruptions. Recard thus strengthens its presence in the country after the plant supplied to another customer, Bashundhara Paper Mills, which was started up in 2010.

Another welcome return was Mexico for the startup of the machine supplied to Convertipap: the turnkey plant (sheet width 2850 mm, production capacity 90 ton/day, speed 1500 m/min) was successfully started up on June 2nd.

The machine began producing 24/7 immediately and after a week attained maximum guaranteed speed. Since 1992, Recard has installed four machines in Mexico and a total of eighteen throughout Latin America, underscoring once again that this is an important reference market for the Lucca company.

It’s Tissue scores another great success

Tissue Italy network confirms the next edition for 2018

menu logo itstissueThe second edition of It’s Tissue has proved inspirational for the sector with more than 1,000 visitors from around the world visiting Lucca between June 21 and 28. This is an increase of more than 42 percent on the debut event.

The Tissue Italy network of 12 companies behind iT’s Tissue have confirmed that, thanks to the very enthusiastic international response, the third edition will take place in 2018. The 12 companies forming the Tissue Italy network are: A Celli, Elettric 80, Fabio Perini, Futura, Gambini, MTC, Omet, PCMC, Pulsar, Recard, TMC and Toscotec. Some of the companies are competitors, others offer complementary solutions. All share the passion for tissue technology synonymous with Lucca, Reggio Emilia and Lecco.

Tissue technology is one of many industries to be limited by the traditional exhibition format because of the sheer size of the equipment involved. This is where It’s Tissue, a week’s worth of open houses and other events, really plays its part. The participants can see, hear and touch technology, working with real products.

Network President Matteo Gentili said: “iT’s Tissue has proved again to be a great success. It is a wonderful celebration and exploration of tissue technology and a strong signal of the health of the Italian sector. To see so many people from five continents make the journey to Lucca to witness our solutions in action is a source of great pride and an affirmation of the event itself. They have seen the best the market can offer.”
