Papierfabrik Palm GmbH & Co. KG and DB Schenker Rail Deutschland AG received the 2010 Award for Cooperation in Transport and Logistics (Kooperationspreis Transport und Logistik) from the Federal Association for Economics, Transport, and Logistics (Bundesverband Wirtschaft, Verkehr und Logistik e.V.) and the Deutsche Verkehrs-Zeitung (DVZ) on 4th April 2010.
The award was in recognition of an innovative and sustainable logistical concept for the efficient thermal conversion of waste materials by the Palm group.
The jury, composed of highly respected representatives from the worlds of science, economics, and the media, recognised the successful concept and effective cooperation between consignor (Palm) and service provider (DB Schenker Rail) as well as the high level of innovation demonstrated by our medium-sized business.
Stephan Strauss, DB Schenker Rail and Hartmut Kassuhn, Papierfabrik Palm, (centre) received the 2010 Award for Cooperation in Transport and Logistics from State Secretary Dr. Andreas Scheuer (2nd from left). Also present during the presentation of this prestigious award were Lutz Lauenroth (DVZ), Herbert Götz (BWVL), Oliver Detje (publishing manager DVV Media Group) and Christian Labrot (BWVL).
