Call for Papers
Deadline for submission of abstracts is as soon as possible.
Absolute latest date is 28 June 2010.

The following is the Call for Conference Papers. This is open ONLY to companies that are participating at the Tissue World Asia 2010 exhibition.

Authors wishing to present a paper concerning new and innovative technology and solutions are invited to submit an abstract for consideration on the program. Speakers are requested to submit an abstract of 100-200 words outlining the paper to be given and the reasons why they believe that this is of interest to tissue makers and converters. They should also indicate the preferred session for presenting the paper, if applicable. The earlier we receive your abstract the better the chances it will be accepted.

Kindly arrange to present your papers in both English and Chinese. We will allow time for sequential translation. You must provide your own translator as this will be the most effective for correct translation of technical terms, concepts, etc. Time limits must be respected and if your presentation goes over the allotted time limit, it will be stopped (15 minutes are allocated for each presentation). This is done in the interest of keeping things on time and out of respect for ALL SPEAKERS.

Technical session topics are as follows:

1. Papermaking
2. Converting, Packaging, Wrapping and Logistics
3. Process Control and Testing
4. Fibers, Stock Prep, Water and Environment
5. Chemicals, Surface Treatment and Fabrics

These guidelines for presenters must be respected:

1. Presentations must cover new, innovative technology concerning tissue making and converting.
2. Priority will be given to papers prepared in cooperation with mill personnel.
3. Presentations must be non-commercial. Your presentation is not supposed to be a sales pitch for your company or products. Emphasis should be on the solutions and benefits offered and the application to the tissue business.
4. High quality visual aids should be used.
5. 15 minutes maximum in the original language will be allowed for technical presentations (ie. not including translation time).
6. Deadline for submission of abstracts is as soon as possible. Absolute latest date is 28 June 2010.
7. Complete presentations must be provided to Agnes Gehot (please email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) no later than 30 September 2010.

Abstracts should be sent to: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
